Walter T. Radtke, 81, of Mt. Prospect, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Beloved husband of Gail Radtke (nee Heumann). Loving father of Pamela (Carl) Love, David (Brit) Radtke, and Thomas (Tataya) Radtke. Cherished grandfather of Oliva, Kaia, Jai, Munay, Theo, Annie, and one on the way. Dear brother of the late Joan (the late Joseph) Pitel. Fond uncle of the late Roger (Kym) Pitel, and Renee (Shaun) Sellers.
Walter was born on January 3, 1935, in Chicago, IL. He was an active member of the Chicago Area Garden Railroad Society, and he volunteered for many years at the local P.A.D.S. Homeless shelter.
Visitation Tuesday 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect.
Visitation continues Wednesday, 9:30 AM until Mass 10:30 AM at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Main St. (Rt. 83) at Lincoln St., Mt. Prospect.
Interment Mt. Emblem. The family kindly requests that guests wear casual attire.
